United States Marine Corps (1941-45)
The Marine Corps face obstacles through out the pacific from Guadal Canal to Okinawa, and as a result had a set of field gear which differed from that of the army sometimes receiving army equipment if their own was in short supply. The following is a breakdown of the kit for a US marine in the pacific. There are several levels of an impression one can have beginning with a primary or base kit and ending with additional items to perfect and complete ones impression for the entirety of the war.
Primary-
M1 helmet (Preferably fixed bale)
Type 1, 2, 3 USMC helmet cover ( type 1 or 2 preferred)
P41 utility uniform set
M1923 Cartridge belt
Either 1910 or USMC first aid pouch
M1905 16 inch or 10 inch bayonet
Type 1 or Type 2 canteen cover with either aluminum or black plastic caps
(USMC covers are not marked US, though army covers were used)
USMC leggings
Rough out boots
Secondary-
P42 USMC camo uniform set
M1941 Pack set or known as the 782 pack set up (Upper, lower, suspenders)
T-handle shovel with cover
Mess kit
utensils
Shelter Half (Camo primary, brown early war but done away with early after Guadal)
USMC dog tags
KABAR
Poncho
Additional-
Pith helmet with EGA
HBT or USMC P44 cap
Khaki Sidecap with EGA
Jungle first aid pouch

Weaponry-
Rifle (M1 Garand preferred, 1903 (not 1903a3) allowed) with sling
M1 Carbine or pistols such as the 1911 and smith victory revolvers are only for NCO's, officers, and crew served weapon members
1918 BAR- Marine corps used WW1 1918 BAR's as well as 1918a3 models
M1917 Watercooled browning
M1919a4 aircooled browning
60mm or 81mm mortar
Thompson 1928, 1928a1, and M1A1. Only for NCO's, Officers
This is a full marine loadout, this kit is a example of a 1943 impression, both p41's and p42 camos could be used for this impression
