The United States Marine Corps throughout its history has always been tasked with the most important and dangerous missions and being issued gear and equipment of questionable quality, they have always gone above and beyond the call of duty. In World War Two, the Marines battled the Army and Naval forces of the Empire of Japan all across the Pacific from the Island of Guadalcanal to Okinawa. In combat, the US Marine and Japanese Soldier were often quite evenly matched in skill, fire power, tenacity and bravery.
